Oatmeal is one of the most healthiest grains there is, has a lot of vitamins, proteins, minerals and fibers, also you can make a delicious breakfast or bake fantastic cakes or cookies. All of them good reasons to use! Well in a day like today, cloudy and not very pleasant for spring day, the best you can do is bake something, so why not this oatmeal cookies? Chocolate is one of those ingredients that you can use in so many ways and of course everybody love chocolate. I am always looking for new recipes, I also think that actually chocolate is healthy because makes you feel happy and if you are happy your body is feeling good, so conclusion you feel healthier, so good reason to eat chocolate. I have been asked to prepare a chocolate cake for a wedding in January. Of course before then I need to test to see what is working the best. So I had to look into all my books and magazines, in the end I also did a web research and there it was, on the page of the BBC food, “Easy chocolate cake”. Well I can tell you it was easy but not that easy, still it was really delicious. I brought the cake to my work and I got the approval from my colleagues, that’s a good sign. (more…)

This recipe I got from an ex-colleague of mine years ago. I still keep using it, only some times I change some things. Normally you use 300 gr. dark chocolate, but I make it how I feel it, so some times I do 150 gr. dark/150 gr. milk or other way. The important thing is to keep the quantity on 300 gr. Also I like a bit lighter so I add a teaspoon of baking powder, that was not in the original I got from her.
