I love dishes that are going into the oven, they are normally slow cooking and with fantastic taste. In the winter is of course one of my favourite things to eat. Checking into my books I found this recipe from Nigella that I had to try, being Spanish any meal that has chorizo in is something to test and it was certainly not disappointing, easy to make and with great flavours. Spanish Casserole
After a couple of weeks off, finally life is starting to go to normal and I can get back into my cooking and then of course time to update my website. This Spanish Casserole I learned years ago from my mum, but every time I make is surprisingly delicious, I forget that something so simple and easy to make is just fantastic. Ossobuco alla Milanese
Of course being risotto one of our favorites at home and one of my specialties, the first recipe from Jamie’s “Comfort Food” that I would try had to be this one. I think one of the best meals I had in long time. It was a long elaborate meal, even that in the book says 2 hours and 30 minutes, in my case was 1 hour extra, but I really didn’t mind, neither my family, this risotto has turned out to be the favorite at home and I am going to make soon again, I challenge you to make it as well, it is worth! Speedy Scalopine
On Friday’s normally is only the 2 of us at home for dinner, so I try to find simple recipes but still delicious and of course full of vitamins. This Speedy Scalopine from Nigella from her book Kitchen is one of those. Very simple to prepare and depending on the vegetables/salad you use, can have a lot of vitamins, the great taste comes from spices you use in the scallop, just perfect. (more…)
Pappardelle with Lamb Ragu
Pasta is by excellence a favourite for children, you can combine in so many ways and give so many different taste that is a joy to eat. I do have my own very good sauce, but many times I like to try new things and in the book Nigellisima there are a few good and easy recipes.
