Pizza-12Who doesn’t like pizza? I don’t think I have ever meet somebody who doesn’t like pizza, you can have in all ways, gluten free, lactose free, vegetarian, with meat or fish, only cheese, you name it, all is possible. That makes that pizza is one of the most populars meals there is, you can make as healthier as you want or as unhealthier as you can 😉 We don’t eat very often pizza but when we do we make it ourselves, it is worth to learn how to make the dough, the taste is nothing compare with those ready pizzas.  (more…)

Risotto with Goat Cheese

Risotto-Goat-Cheese-7What can I say about risotto that I haven’t said before? Actually not much, we just love it and it has become my speciality, I like to try new combinations with different kind of vegetables and of course cheese, normally you would think parmesan but why not goat cheese? Nasi Spices Mix

Nasikruiden-3Nasi is one of the most popular meals from Indonesia at least here in The Netherlands. Years ago I use to buy a package from the supermarket in which it supposed to be all the spices you need to prepare the perfect nasi. This was before I started to read the labels from all the products I was buying and start to understand all the chemicals and salt I was eating. You should check what you have at home and read the ingredients, you will be surprised that actually you are eating a chemical experiment. Well searching on the internet and reading I got what it looks like the perfect spice mix. (more…)

Healthy Rice

Rice-with-vegetables-8I am not sure how I suppose to call this meal that’s why the name “healthy rice”. It is for my understanding a vitamin bomb because there are a lot vegetables, you could make it fully vegetarian keeping the sausages out, but I think they give extra taste to the meal. It is easy to make, you get your daily vegetables portion and taste great, what else do you need?  (more…)

It is a fantastic taste maker plus has also some vitamins and minerals (manganese, magnesium, iron, potassium, vitamin C and B6), of course you will only use a bit for your meal but still it is good to say that is a healthy spice. The saffron risotto is also known as “Risotto a la Milanese”, a perfect soft, creamy rice, easy to make and very good as side dish for meats or maybe as lunch.  (more…)
